The World of Frozen Peak

A small town where everyone knows your story—and Christmas magic still exists if you're brave enough to believe.

Frozen Peak Ice Rink

The heart of the story. Built in 1978, this ice rink was where eight-year-old Mia learned to skate and where she met Jace Mitchell. Their Saturday morning tradition lasted from ages 8 to 14, creating memories carved into wood and ice.

Closed five years ago when the owner died, the building fell into disrepair—cobwebs in the rafters, dust an inch thick, boards warped and plexiglass cracked. Now the town has purchased it for the Christmas Festival, and Mia and Jace must renovate their past while navigating their present.

Key Features:

  • • NHL regulation ice surface (200' x 85')
  • • Bleachers seating 400 (Row 7, Seats 23-24 were their childhood spot)
  • • Locker rooms where "J + M" is carved in a door frame
  • • Old concession stand with hot chocolate machine
  • • Zamboni garage with a 1985 model needing repair

Frozen Peak, Small Town USA

A quintessential small town where everyone knows your name and your history. The kind of place where mechanical Santas wave endlessly from porches, where Christmas decorations go up the day after Thanksgiving, and where gossip travels faster than snowplows.

Main Street

The heart of town with Emma's family bakery, the diner where gossip flows like coffee, and shops decorated with twinkling lights for the Christmas Festival.

Town Hall

Where the Christmas Committee holds meetings, assigns volunteers, and where Mia and Jace had their first awkward reunion after four years apart.

Residential Streets

Tree-lined streets where Mia and Jace grew up, close enough to wave from bedroom windows but worlds apart after senior year.

Rodriguez Family Bakery

Emma's family bakery, the unofficial headquarters for emotional support and strategic planning. Where coffee is strong, pastries are fresh, and best friends share secrets over tres leches cake.

This is where Mia retreats when the ice rink feels too heavy with memories, where Emma dispenses advice along with empanadas, and where the smell of cinnamon and home makes everything feel slightly less impossible.

Signature Items:

  • • Emotional Support Pastries (Emma's specialty)
  • • Hot chocolate with extra marshmallows
  • • Tres leches cake for serious conversations
  • • Churros for celebration or commiseration

The Davis Home

Mia's childhood home, where her mother has gone into Christmas overdrive—LED reindeer sweaters, color-coded committee clipboards, and enough decorations to violate fire codes. The mechanical Santa from the Hendersons next door waves endlessly outside Mia's bedroom window, a perfect metaphor for being trapped in repetitive patterns.

Her old bedroom still has soccer trophies gathering dust, team photos where she smiled like the future was a goal she could defend, and the same view of the same street she spent four years trying to escape.

The Mitchell Home

Where family implosion changed everything. Four years ago, this was the site of the affair discovery, the suicide attempt, the moment Jace's perfect future shattered. Now it's quieter, healing but haunted by what was lost.

Mrs. Mitchell is rebuilding her life here, stronger than Jace gives her credit for. Sophie tries to bring lightness back. And Jace carries the weight of keeping this house standing when it wanted to collapse.
